backgroundStandards & Learning
Noah Andzongo is from Cameroon. He is a dancer, choreographer, storyteller & musician with over 10 years of teaching experience. It is Noah’s mission to preserve & promote the traditions of his country & share the wisdom of his ancestors & Elders. Noah has been the recipient of the “African Excellence Award”, one of the top honors in the world of dance for his choreography "Aloka Dzal” (The Fishing Dance) and for outstanding performance by his dance company “Africa Labina”. Noah has performed numerous times at the Palais de Congress for the President of Cameroon. In 1994, Noah was recognized by the Arts Council of Cameroon to assemble the dancers & drummers to perform & represent Cameroon at the World Cup Event in Los Angeles, California.

Students will receive a rich understanding of Central African culture recognizing and appreciating cultural differences & similarities. Through active participation in traditional rhythms and movements, the program is designed to promote confidence and self-expression. Students will listen to stories & observe dances of daily village life, inspiring imaginative thought. Through entertaining & educational performances, Noah invites his audience to celebrate in the spirit & traditions of Cameroon.
